Headspace app

Golden Oldie: Headspace

Headspace is one of our all-time favorite meditation apps. It helps users calm, focus and exercise. The app is designed to make meditation easier and more accessible to people of all levels. So you really don’t need to be a mindfulness guru. Headspace offers guided meditation sessions, and entire programs specially designed to tackle specific problems, such as stress, anxiety, insomnia, and more.
If you need some focus music, or want to do some handy stretching, this app is also right for you! It’s available on iOS and Android and is partially free to use. Want to check all the programs before marrying them? They understand that too! That is why you can try the app for free for a few days.

Somnox cuddle robot

Cuddle robot: Somnox 2

Somnox is a sleep robot designed to help users relax and sleep better. In other words, bonus! The robot mimics a person’s breathing to help you calm down by adopting regular breathing. Similar to when you hug someone or a purring cat. It also plays soothing sounds and music to help you relax or fall asleep even better. It is specially designed for people with anxiety, stress, or other issues.

Moonbird relax and sleep coach

Hitting the spot: Moonbird

Uhm, it does look a bit different… But Moonbird is a breathing and sleep coach in the form of a small device that you can hold while doing breathing exercises. This well-shaped device actually helps you regulate your breathing and reduce your stress levels through guided breathing exercises. It also has a soothing light show and calming sounds to help you relax and fall asleep. It is available in different color options. So there’s definitely a match waiting for anyone. Tip: Maybe it’s best to not leave this one hanging around the living room when you’re expecting to have visitors…

Looking like a princess: Muse 2

Do you often feel stressed and a bit overwhelmed? Then the Muse 2 might be just what you need. The Muse 2 uses special sensors to monitor your brain activity, heart rate, and other physiological signals. Surely that’s a lot different from the other products. It gives you real-time feedback on your state of mind. Using EEG, pulse oximeter, accelerometer, and gyroscope, you can instantly see how your brain reacts to a meditation practice and adjust exercises accordingly. It might look a bit silly? But you can always turn it into a diadem with some cute zirconias. We experienced it as helpful. The Muse 2 approach gives you a lot of data about your physical state whilst meditating. So if you’d like to go into the nitty gritty parts of mediation, the app will provide you with detailed stats on your progress. Now it’s not just about what you feel, but also backed by real-time data. If you want to go full out, the Muse 2 will pair great with a Somnos or Moonbird for sure.

Small, yet big results: Sensate 2

You can wear or lay the Sensate 2 on your chest. Compared to the other devices we’ve tested, this feels like a smaller and more portable version of the Somnox, based on how you use it. The Sensate 2 vibrates, makes noise, and helps you focus well on mindfulness and meditation. So you become actively calmer. The app works intuitively. As soon as you place the Sensate 2 on your chest, it helps you focus on your breathing. You can adjust the strength of the vibration, but the intensity can also vary based on any program you’ve selected. The vibration reaches your Vagus Nerve to help you calm your entire body. It’s less huggy than the Somnox, but with a few more advanced features. And if you’d like, you can use it together with the Muse 2.
