Three essential journal prompts to empower yourself, your dreams, and others.

journal prompts to empower yourself

When you develop a stronger relationship with your loved ones and friends, you’ll find more emotional support. You will also become more resilient when facing difficult times. However, when we empower our colleagues at work, teamwork becomes easier and more natural; with that, productivity and creativity will follow. It also prevents conflict at work. Before you know it, job satisfaction will follow, too.

Therefore, asking the right questions and reformulating this for your colleagues can help you unstuck yourself in work and life.

These questions can help us to identify our pain points, passions, and values with others on a deeper level. Obviously, these are not magic bullets, but they are powerful tools for personal growth and leadership development.

What is something still unfulfilled in your life?

For yourself, loved ones, or colleagues:

  1. “What aspects of your life or job do you feel are still lacking?”
    1. How would you like to change that?
  2. “What aspirations do you have for personal growth or fulfillment?”
  3. “Are you still working on achieving any goals or dreams?”
  4. “What would you like to see more of in your life or at work?”
  5. “What areas of your life, job, or our team do you feel you could make a positive impact on?”
  6. What are you most excited about right now?

For yourself, loved ones, or colleagues:

  1. “What’s keeping you motivated and energized at the moment?”
  2. “What projects or goals are you particularly looking forward to working on?”
  3. “What are you learning or exploring that’s piquing your interest, and how do you think we could all benefit from it?”
  4. “What aspect of your work or personal life are you most passionate about?”

What inspires you to be your best?

For yourself, loved ones, or colleagues:

  1. “What motivates you to strive for better at home or at work?”
  2. “What sources of inspiration push you to reach your full potential?”
  3. “What values or principles guide you?”
  4. “What role do your personal passions and interests play in motivating you?”
  5. “How do you maintain a positive and motivated mindset towards achieving your goals?”

Try answering at least one question per day. Mornings or evenings for progress. Write them down and ask your peers during a meeting. Some questions are more “one-to-one”; others work in a general “as a team” setting. Keep that in mind, before asking.

Good luck!
